Why do I need to create an account to see the site?

In order to offer the lowest possible prices, we are required to be a members' only site. This allows us to make great sheet music available to the community while maintaining the highest level of service. It's the same reason why you need to show your membership card before you walk into a store like Costco—to offer the best prices and services to a committed community of users.

When I buy a song, do I download the sheet music as a PDF or is it mailed to me?

After purchasing a song, you'll be redirected to your library, where you can download the sheet music in PDF format and the reference audio in mp3 format.

What is the order of difficulty?

There are currently five difficulty levels, ranging from Beginner to Expert. Beginner Novice Intermediate Advanced Expert

I have a promo code. How do I use it?

At the bottom left of the checkout page, you'll find "Do you have a promotional code?" in green text. When you click on this text, in the box that appears, type in your promo code and click "Apply Code." This will apply that code to your purchase!

I purchased sheet music but never received it.

After purchasing a song, you'll automatically be redirected to your library where you can download the sheet music in PDF format and/or the reference audio in mp3.

If you are not redirected, you can view your library by clicking on your avatar on the top right corner of the page and then clicking on My Library.

If your files do not appear in your library, you can open a Specific Order Inquiry at freebirdnotes.ca/support, or email us at support@freebirdnotes.com so we can sort the issue out.

Why are some of the notes in the sheet music different from the reference mp3?

Transcribing a song is a lot like translating a language. The translation may differ slightly depending on the person translating, but this is what makes each piece special.

What currency are the prices in?

The currency for all products reflected on the website is in United States dollars (USD).

Which cards and payment types are accepted?

We process payments through both Stripe and PayPal. With both of these payment processors we can accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

We can also accept gift cards and prepaid cards (like Debit Visa Cards) as long as they are one of the above card types.

Will there be sheet music for guitar and other instruments soon?

We currently do not have plans to include guitar sheet music in the near future. We've had a couple opportunities to expand beyond piano, into other instruments, but the quality of the transcriptions just wasn't up to our standards and wouldn't meet the needs of our users. We're always on the look-out for talented individuals who can transcribe sheet music for other instruments but piano is what we do best and it's what we're going to spend our time focusing on.

Who chooses which sheet music Freebird Notes offers?

Most of the songs are chosen by staff members. Some of the songs are also recommended to us directly by our members by making a .

Can I return sheet music? What is your return policy?

If for any reason you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, open a support case at freebirdnotes.ca/support. After investigating the case, we'll provide a full refund or member credits. If you have any questions regarding refunds, please contact us at support@freebirdnotes.com.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

To reset your password, visit freebirdnotes.com/forgot-password. Enter the email address you signed up with and click "Reset password". An email will be sent to you with a link to reset your password.

How do I change my email?

On the top-right corner of the page, click your avatar and click "User Profile" from the dropdown. After being redirected to your "User Profile" page, click on the Accounts tab. In this section, you can change the e-mail address associated with your account. After you change it, click "Save Changes".

How do I change my password?

On the top-right corner of the page, click your avatar and click "User Profile" from the dropdown. After being redirected to your "User Profile" page, click on the Password tab and simply enter your new password into the appropriate fields and click "Save Changes."

How do I become a partner and transcribe for Freebird Notes?

To apply as a partner visit freebirdnotes.com/partners and fill out the necessary details. Once we receive your submission, we'll review it and let you know as soon as possible if you're eligible.
